Mr. Wang is the General Manager of the U.S. office of a large international manufacturing and trading company based in China. The U.S. office had been operating for just over a year, and the one-year term of Mr. Wang's L-1 visa as the manager of the new office was due to expire. However, the attorney who handled his original L1 petition was not able to help him further due to the difficulties of this L-1 extension case. Mr. Wang's company then found our firm and after thorough discussion, our attorney decided the case had high possibility of being approved. The company ultimately retained us to seek an extension of Mr. Wang's L-1 status so that he could continue to lead the U.S. office and grow business for the company.
Using our expertise in L-1 cases, we demonstrated that the U.S. office was already successfully doing business due to Mr. Wang's skilled and experienced leadership. Based on our long experience with the L-1 visa process, we were able to convincingly show that Mr. Wang's position as Deputy General Manager at the Chinese company and General Manager of the U.S. company are indeed executive/managerial positions, and that the staffing of the U.S. company was sufficient to support his position.
Mr. Wang's case involved many intricate details, which we effectively presented to show that he was eligible for L-1 status. As a result of our skilful and diligent efforts, the petition for Mr. Wang's L-1 extension was approved, and he can now continue managing his company's U.S. office.
